Thank you for your interest in participating in the Life Skills Workshop, Inc. job readiness workshop series. The workshop series is designed to help you improve your ability to begin a career instead of just "having a job." The workshops are informative and challenging. The volunteer speakers are enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and care about you.
Workshop topics include
- interview skills,
- professional dress,
- job and career fairs, and
- ethics in the workplace.
Also, during the workshop series, you will
- be matched with a mentor,
- develop your resume,
- receive at least two outfits of work appropriate clothing.
The workshop series will be held 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on seven consecutive Saturdays in the spring and the fall. Workshops are held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 6030 Grosvenor Lane, Bethesda. The church is accessible by Metrobus (J1, J2, J3), or is a 20-minute walk from the Grosvenor Metro Station on the Red Line. The next session begins on March 29, 2008.
