Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Life Skills Workshop, Inc. Our goal is to nurture and educate women who are transitioning into the workforce from incarceration or homelessness. We provide a series of training workshops that focus on the skills and attitudes necessary to begin the search for a career, and we offer follow-up support for participants through one-on-one mentoring and two annual graduate reunions.

Since 1997, almost 400 women have participated in our workshop series. And it is only because of the dedication of our volunteers that we are able to do this work. Volunteers work in every aspect of the organization - from conducting workshop sessions, to mentoring graduates, to providing entertainment at the annual reunions. In return, we provide all volunteers with orientation training, in-service training and ongoing supervision.
